If people are really worried and want to be really safe then there's an answer..... unbolt the supercharger and throw it away. The cause of most of the problems!

I think that is what he constantly monitors now but I also believe he has mapped AFR this way as he has been moding the car.

Yes its 4 egts and only 1 O2 sensor, in fact its now 2 wideband O2 sensors but they are next to each other as a backup! and they now run the ecu in closed loop.

And both the stock O2 sensors are in there as well ! But they dont do anything but keep the heater warning lights off.

I must add my RR results may be a little to do with the gears used, I dont get much chance of max rpm in 4th due to keeping on the right side of the law and its all bendy roads round here!
Most of my testing is in 3rd at WOT.

running AF of around 11.4 my max egt is around 850-860 when AF is 12.2 my max egt was nearly 880

The innovate gear is good, I bought direct from the USA and had the full kit with a box full of dials!

If I had to point a finger about the plugs I would suspect the map? I doubt its a JCW map as your plugs would be black and sooty!! is it stock or aftermarket?

When its running maybe we could hook up a temp wideband logger on your next track day? im willing in the name of research

the ting ting sounds slightly familiar, shall be pulling me plugs out for a once over, luckily my car never gets ragged as much as others, good link also on injectors as well Paul cheers

can any one say here with any confidence that a big valve head + injectors is bomb proof, ie bye bye plug/cylinder one issues, or just moves the problem up 20hp and 500rpm or so

Back from Lohen/Mini Pirate so now have my exhaust hanging where it should be and some nice viper stripes

Lohen are going to send off the plugs to Denso to get some opinions and I'm going to send off a sample of oil for analysis to see whats going on inside the engine.

The next step is for Paul to fit the RMW head, 440cc injectors, oil sump baffle, powerflex bushes, coilovers, adj control arms and give it an oil service...then once its all fitted RMW/1320 will live map it ready for road and track. Also being added by me are cooling vents on the drivers side of the bonnet to allow manifold heat to escape and an Ociari air vent scoop to the passenger side to ram more air into the CAI........ but before it goes on track for some hot laps I will ensure it's been data logged for the first few laps to check everything is ok.

If inlet temps are still too high and its still detonating or something isn't right I'll pour petrol over it and light a match.

The difference is quite large sometimes too. As Dave says you can tune to achieve impressive power on the RR OR tune for road performance + good reliability headroom.
