i can, your car looked poop yesterday Paul.

You owe me an apology. Sitting up there on the bank, watching the big boys going up only tagged along as my mate knows the CPL lot. Anyway, out the corner of my eye comes a litle red mini. So i say to my mates watch this, this car gets 11's, pretty damn quick. They say, yeah right course it does. I say nop guranteed in 11's i'll bet you a tenner.

Then , up goes paul, me thinking here she goes here she goes, its gonna get quicker in a minute, nope 13.9. i look a numpty and lose 10 quid.

So Paul, you can whack it across paypal if you want......

Also very quiet yesterday, i was sure with the weather and a descent event it was gonna be packed, but was nice and relaxed, good to some of the big boys up the pod for once though, and not too many chavs up there which was a first for Santa Pod.

Best bit of the day was following the Brand new Nissan GTR all the way down tot he M1 on the way home and watching him evry now and then floor it, effortless.

Woot! Woot! Woot!.... Good work Paul, that's the best time she's run yet, proper pleased, although I doubt it would have gone that fast with me at the wheel.

It's a shame you weren't using NOS Paul so you could have humbled a few of the big boys, but I'm guessing our cars were the quickest Mini's there...?

Ant, why didn't you run yours? That's twice you've been recently and not run, you'd be well up there with your new mods mate. We need more Mini's representing on this list:

Sorry Ant, I did get Venners to announcce there waas no nitrous and we would be struggling, I would of been better off running Big Shows.

If you would of come over and said hi, I could of run yours amd then we could of have had 3 results with the same driver.

We Euro Sport Compact racers have been invited to the Ultimate Strret Car, so it does look like a class is going to come out of it.

What was nice was that all the others qualified within a couple of 1/10ths of each other, just need to get the Mini in the Mid to low 10 sec zone to be competitive..

Oooo I want a go! ! Think i'll wait till i've got everything ready and the engine bushes done. My last best was 14.6 I think in my old astra with its terrible traction and clutch.

nah i was'nt up in mine, we had a rather nice Nissan X-trail which my mate nicked from work fro the free diesel. Only went as it was something to do, I did pop over but you were'nt about, i was gonna nick your Halo kit, Although when i was standing there there was a guy telling his mates about your mods. I nearly wet myself as his words were " Yeah its obviously got some engine mods, probably a GTT conversion or something" i swear on my life. i wish i had a dictaphone to get a recording of it.

Also you saying about the 10 sec FWD cars, you know the CPL lot are based where i live along with sumo power. Those Civics you regulalry see driving on the road, they seem to be really popular in the FWD class, is that for a reason. Although that MG ZR was a bit of a tool too, very fast.

Nice results... I was going to come up on Sunday but didn't wake up until 12:00 as i was doing the tunnel run on Saturdays night.

A few weeks and we'll have another quick mini at the pod

That must have been just after Paul ran the 15.1

Shame you couldn't drive yourself mate, but worth it for the free trip up, wish I could have been there myself TBH.

i think its possible, i would be pretty sure Rolands one would have back when stage 2, we did discuss it yesterday when looking comparing at cars mine keeps with easily , i know last timwe i went with 220 ish and crapy run flats i got bang on 15 but that was down to my crappy tyres.. But the difference now is night and day, especially the change to normal vredsteins, i will do mine soon as my mate wants to take his reno up there. in fact we are going up there on the 4th July for a private hire day that the Renaul turbo owners clubn have arranged. I might try and see if i can sneak the mini on then if i am very polite.......
