Mounting scangauge

Hi all

Having received my scangauge yesterday I would like some tips off people who have already fitted theirs.

I was at Himley Hall on Sunday and seen a few people had fitted their scangauge to the right hand side of the dash which looks like a good place as it is easily viewed.

Just wondering if one of those people could give a quick guide as to the routing of the cable i.e what I need to take off and the best way to route it

Cheers

James

I just installed it under the toggle switches in the center console. The cabling is routed inside the plastic cover below the steering wheel. This is a neat setup...except when you are trying to read boost at WOT

That's where I was going to put it as its an easy option but as you say it is harder to read, specially at WOT

Anyone used a BlendMount to mount a Scangauge to the rear view mirror?

it jsut plugs into the obd2 port, so it's really easy to install, the x-gauge feature allows you to add a realtime HP readout. the only problem is the refresh rate is rather slow so it make accurate readings in first or second gear tough.

In which mode do you connect the scangauge? Mine doesn't connect.

usually have both the car and the scangauge off when you plug it in. when everything is hooked up, start the car, and it should say "connecting" after a while it goes to the screen that you were on last time the car was on.

I have try all modes but doesn't connect. On my M3 has connected in about 15 seconds in ISO mode.

I really not understand what is wrong. I have trying an hour today but nothing. The car is Cooper S 2002/october.

Does anybody know where could be a problem?
