Whats the weight of bens car without driver?

Cant wait to see you at the strip, you should of stay for Sunday Sun and only 30 cars signed on.

The weight without driver is irrelevant, you should always calculate as the car is sitting on the line waiting to be driven like its stolen

WOW I just looked at last years MITP weigh and terminal speed and Big Show weighed in at 2989 lbs and run 88.98 mph so thus made 182 bhp on the day.

How we get so used to numbers and get disappointed when we've trying to acheive new personal bests, when sometimes you have to reflect where you where you were a year ago

Considering the car doesn't have a diff and is still putting all that power down through the stock clutch IMO it's a testament to what can be achieved by the right combination of performance parts.

Interesting stuff. On paper i should be quicker, i.e. component for component comparison. Only 500 more miles to do before i do my RR session I'm not up for 1/4 mile times but i am really interested to see what the bhp and torque graphs look like. Some things won't have an effect on the RR (such as removing the rear seats), so it may perform better on track than an 'out of the factory' style car. I reckon the end of June for the RR. Oooooo, hot air weather

I bet it was a buzz on the drapg strip hitting those times !!

Cheers,
K.

What extra/better performing parts are on your list to give you the edge? Can't wait to see your dyno, you should be near the top of the leader board

You have right!

But the real race it's not the straight line.
Not in Europe.

ROTFLMAO, id love to know what brings you to that conclusion Karl????? The more bits you bolt on dosent mean you make anymore power. Stop mucking about get it dyno`d an then get it to the drag strip an see what speed it will run over the quarter. Not time! Speed as that will give an indication of power. It must be gutting knowing you possibly have one of the quickest M45 cooper S` in the country an cant run it. You might even gain some respect then!!!!!!!!

Fisher:- for your information Jan is a curcuit racer, hes just in the process at the moment of setting up a race team But he also understands that speed over a quarter mile shows power

I mean, how long can it possibly take a car enthusiast to break in an engine?!

I clocked 4300km into our new family transportation Beemer in just about two weeks I have a habit of booking some long road trips particularly for this purpose - not so trying for your patience!

I was joking.

Sometimes the cars are really fast in straith line but not at circuit. Just this...all other I know.
