Have been GTT'D upto 220bhp

Hi there Guys

Just thought i would put a post on as i have had my MCS GTT'd from Roland on Saturday 24th May.

Car is currently upto 220bhp and what a difference Roland has done a great job on the car and it does truly fly now .

Would highy recommend Roland and team as they are very professional and knowledgeable and i did a lot of research before i had anything done.

Will be visiting GTT again in the very near future for some more mods but for now i am VERY VERY HAPPY with the car .

Would like to thank Roland and team for a great job

Cheers Jayman

Have fun with your new power

The tuning bug will bite again soon though when you get used to the power so start saving

Well just from things I have read on here and on NAM the excess vibrations due to removing the dampener on the crank pulley can cause premature oil pump failure

Sorry to take your thread off topic jayman

Back on topic

Did you go from stock MCS straight to 220?

No he went from BB190 (or whatever they call it)....Justin can tell you more.
I cant speak for other brands but GTT Crank Pulleys cause no problem, maybe 500 out there some with 30-50000 miles since fitting. One is our 'McClaren Matching GTT350T!'
Oil pump drive from the crank is a poor design, difficult to redesign (otherwise I would) ,but for safety fit new oil pumps at 50000m interval irrespective of pulley type ie inc stock. Chance of failure is slim, weve seen one on a stock pulley go, however consequences are huge if it does.
This Crank pulley scaremongering is getting silly. Believe me I wouldnt run on mine and Lees 'precious GTT350Ts' if there was any chance of it causing a problem...
..now back on topic GTT220 just fitted to Justins car.

Cheers Roland, but

I only post what I have had data on. I am an independent voice in the fact that I do not try and bash other tuners products and have no ties to any vendor. I just buy parts that IMO are best for what I want and I do all the labour. I just don't want to take the risk and that's purely my choice, and yes I do have a raised rev limit but again that's my choice. I posted to another mini member my thoughts on his next steps and he ask why, so I gave him the answer I believe

Hi guys

In reply to jaw f430 and roland i did not do my home work and jumped in and had BBR so called ecu remap to 181bhp priced at 400 pounds and the only reason for choosing them is that they had been on top gear. After having it done i did not notice any difference so i was a little p***ed off to say the least. Im not saying they did a bad job but would not recommend.
As for GTT and Roland what can i say, did alot more home work and went for it......... RESULT brilliant well impressed and even the girlfriend loves it.

Cheers jayman
