After the front were done I found the back to be a little loose!

The rear bushes work a treat!

Again there are 2 brands to choose from:

Superflex and Powerflex, the Superflex are a full metal bodied press in bush, the Powerflex are push in plugs which fill the voids in the standard mini bush.

On the front I would always fit Superflex

On the rear I would fit Powerflex as they wont require a wheel alignment and will do the same job.

Interesting!! Did you notice as much difference as the fronts by changing the backs?

Has anyone tried the proflex front bushes?? I have a brand new pair of stock bushes and holders in my boot and now i am in two minds what to do. Do I fit superflex front bushes although will have to press fit them or do I fit PowerFlex inserts to my brand new bushes? Interested to know who has tried the powerflex and if they used them on brand new stock bushes?? other wise I cant see it being effective on worn/torn ones.

Stock ones are not up to the job, splitting after 30k is poor. I replaced with ones that can hack it!

So, an update on where I'm up to... Unfortunately the garage I normally use in London is booked up until sometime next year, and 1320 don't work on weekends during the summer, so found a random garage in Kilburn that sounded very excited about fitting some Superflex bushes (a good sign, I think) and ordered myself some bushes from Superflex direct.

Lets hope this Kilburn garage manages to fit them without destroying the alignment or indeed anything else! I'll post an update once they're done next week...

I don't blame anyone for not working weekends in this weather, outside temp was reading 27 on the way home today!!

I took a day off work as I had a few days to use up before it changed over , good look mate. This is one mod you wont regret, just as long as the garage get it right that is

Front or rear?

The front powerflex are like a big pop in grommet, the rears are void plugs which pop in the standard items.

You can do them on the car, did mine this weekend, bit of a pain but saves dropping the sub frame. I would buy the tool from BMW though as most of my times was spent making up bits to do the job.
