Is this an original SC pulley?

I went to a mechanic today to try to locate the source of a whine my car (2002 MCS) makes, he was confused by my SC pulley, he thought it didn't look stock. What do you think?

He tried to measure it, but it proved difficult, he measured about 55mm, which according to what I have found on the Internet is not stock. I looked for markings of any kind on the pulley, but could only find some unreadable numbers on an orange looking label. The car is stock according to previous owner and has no other visible mods.

He also noticed that the belt tightener (what is the correct word for this part?) looked like it was pushing as far as it could, i.e. the spring was all the way out.

That is not a stock pulley. It has been changed but could be stock size, no way of telling without measuring accurately. Does not look like a good job either as it looks like the S/C shaft is drilled and tapped and a bolt is used with a thick washer to hold the pulley in place. Must be a 2 piece pulley though otherwise it would spin on the S/C shaft.

Your S/C belt has prob stretched to its limit if the tensioner is fully extended.

I talked to my dealer and the guy I talked to claimed that the stock pulley was mounted on a bolt like it looks like mine is. Are you sure it is not stock? I am planing on switching to a Alta 15% pulley, would this be harder to install if the SC shaft has been modified?

Well all the stock ones I have seen do not look like yours, also all the stock ones are an interference fit onto the S/C shaft. The pulley I have on mine is a 2 piece pulley and it is a taper lock.

Just went to have a look at my spare S/C and the shaft is drilled and tapped but it is not used to mount the pulley. There is normally a black plastic cover that pushes into the thread. I have took some pics of the stock pulley for you.
