I think your big issue like I said is the manifold and maybe cooling the charge air (so an intercooler upgrade needed)

yeah the S works and a GP works were getting 15.1's so its not much but it put a grin on my face!!!!!!

along with a few other little tricks
then i'm gonna aim to get bigger injectors and a remap in february

then later in the year im getting a new manifold and exhaust with larger cat

GP with a janspeed manifold was getting 14.1's last weekend but he was shifting like a legend...

With your mods and an I/C you should be aiming for very low 14's next time you're at the Pod and defo 250+ bhp... Ruskins with an 11%, janspeed manifold, CAM and GTT I/C ran 13.8 with 243 bhp last weekend.

it's come to an end for me i'm affraid!!
the prblem for me t'other week was something to do with my piston,
friday night while on my travels from the cinema on the M1 my piston blew!!
not sure yet weather its a valve or piston ring, but my IC had oil in it!!


sooooooooo i'm affriad i'm getting rid of it :-(
and not modifiying my next car at all!!! !

How much oil in your IC, as most will have at least a little oil in them

sorry to hear that, have you found full extent of damage yet, ie is it fixible

i'm gutted to!
it needed a new block! and apparently its a comon fault with them, 4th piston burned through (its furthest away from the water pump) it overheats .
it took the bore with it!!

£1,600 it's costing me, so unfortunately, after watching many a 5th gear etc. i'm going for a clio 197 cup brand new with the recaro seats. to me a veeeeeeeeeeery cool looking hatch.

it's unfortunately put me off mini's (at least second hand one's) and for the price of a new one, there are faster hot hatches 21 grand for a work 15 for the cup clio!!! only 10BHP down!!

sorry to hear that, just remember the depreciation on the clio [ or anything else] as you drive out the showroom would have covered your block and a bvh ....etc..
try ktr in verwood have heard good things about them for renualts

yeah i know!! end of the day, every car looses money, if i spent 21k on a works in 4 years it'd be looking @ 10 k if i sell it! but when i get the next car i wont be moving from it for a good few years so it doesn't matter, i'd jus like the buzz of getting a brand spanker car, that only i have driven! shame a wasted my £800 on the new IC and TB the other week!

p.s. i have paid for my mini to be sorted, so i'll be part exing that.

Seeing the big hitters results from a recent RR day printed in Modern Mini made me realise how good my results from nearley 2 years ago were!

Lucky Dave with;

243.5 bhp @ 6856
205.3 ft lb @ 5413

Which put my BHP as a quality 4th and torque comparable with Bigshows in 2nd position
