I'll definately do a review of it. Won't be fitting it myself though as i've viewed instructions and tbh I don't think i'll find the time. Might be worthwhile getting the opinion of a Mini specialist as well.

Being completely new to the Mini game i'll give an unbiased opinion...if only because I haven't yet been influenced by the Mini community

By the way on a completely different note where would I find a meet near me? Would be nice to speak to some people face to face. I think there's something at Thruxton soon but i'll be on holiday when it's on

I've been there with cheap parts failing but i'll always test something.I've spent £200 on a set of headers before that split at the flexi join so I spent another £600 on some REALLY good ones. £800 didn't bother me as the risk was worth it after saving about £1000 on a FMIC

Like I said. At the end of the day it's all down to preference. Some people will spend £'000's on all the best names & that's fine as you know you're getting tried & tested quality....i'm just one of those people who likes to try & test

Sometimes I pay for it & other times I make a huge saving....swings & roundabouts

Warnings regarding cheaper parts i've heard before. Sometimes I take them onboard & other times i'll just take a chance to try something new. At the end of the day i'll only break my car & other people will learn from my mistakes

dont worry (but i bet you'd be hard pushed to find a better induction kit for anything near the price )

and when you think my pulleys have to make it here from the states (shipping, import duty etc) 80 quid aint to bad either considering others charge 100+ for pulleys

That's what I thought. Did a lot of shopping around before I decided on the m7. Even looked to cheaper alternatives but none of them felt right. Foam seemed to be the way to go & enclosed is even better. I looked at the Alta one but then you're looking at £200+ then you've got to buy the lid seperate

Just fitted £40 worth of Samco induction pipe today as well so for £190 all in that's a bonus

You know anyone down my neck of the woods that would fit a pulley? I'm near Portsmouth

Cheers James. I did mail him on Thursday asking labour cost but i've not heard back yet. If they're that busy i'll give them a bell. I'll wait for the parts to arrive first

you guys i think are crazy for spending 100's on induction..... i went to ebay and waited patiently and got one i have never heard of "RAM AIR" 40 squid brand new!!! its a sealed unit, looks like it has pipercross airfilter, it does a great job plus i got plus 3 mpg and if you wee buying it direct im sure it would only be 60 squid maybe. but hey i really like getting something different which makes my mini stand out from the crowd.

I can beat that! Just won a set of Eibachs for £33.00

Check this out:

Mini One/Cooper Eibach Lowering Springs on eBay, also Suspension Components, Performance Tuning Parts, Car Tuning Styling, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 14-Sep-08 15:34:56 BST)

Proper chuffed with that bargain!!

6 months old & still under warranty. I double, triple & quadruple checked the part numbers as well:

F - 115700103VA
R - 115700101HA

Should fit my R53 Cooper S nicely

I was watching those springs on ebay but someone told me that is would only lower the Cooper S about 10mm cos its lower than the mini one as standard. Are they wrong?

I just went by what the Eibach website states & that's 30mm front & rear (approx). Lowering is not my priority though. Just wanted some good progressive springs that will be better for track use than the standard set up. Didn't want coilovers as i've been there before breaking my teeth driving down a B road

Pulley arrived today. Looks pretty good. Just got to get past the "It looks all new & shiney" excitement stage first

I'll get a belt when I get paid on Friday & get it fitted when I get back from holiday in a couple of weeks...along with the Eibachs
