Full exhaust system for 52 plate mini cooper S

Hi there, my exhaust is literally hanging off and kwikfit have quoted me £900 to have it replaced (manifold, catalytic converter and the rest). Can any of you recommend another option that wouldn't be quite as much as the kwikfit route!! I can get someone to fit it, just after a few options; ebay? sports? second hand?

Any help would be hugely appreciated!! Missing my mini adventures

I've seen in another thread that Vecchio Engineering are offering a Quicksilver exhaust system for £250, which is the same price as a standard one i was looking at. Do you know if there are any modifications that need to be done to fit this???

Why do you need the whole lot replaced? I think the exhaust up to the cat is one piece, but thought you could just replace the back box's, mid pipe and front silencer??

Ah, in that case I guess you'll need a new one, sorry!

I'm getting a playmini exhaust system for my Cooper, and is about £90 less than a mini replacement. Not sure who does the cat's though, try some ok the uk people in the directory section at the top of the page. Think Mini, Lohen places like that. Even if they don't they may point you in the right direction!

Good luck.

you could definately replace it with performance parts for that price, somthing like a janspeed or gtt manifold, but if your not bothered about extra performance and sound you could probably get a used manifold for £100 to £150, and there is a wide range of cat back systems, standard ones go for hardly anything on ebay, or you can get somthing like a brand new playmini for not much over £200

Glad everything was sorted. What was the symptoms of the split cat? What brand parts did you get in the end?
