Differences in Cooper S 2002 Onwards...

Hi all!

Im just wanting to know what are the differences that have been made to the S over the years?

Mainly I want to know why the 02 S's have 160bhp and the 04 onwards have 170bhp O.o

We have a 02 Cooper S on the way and obviously want to get it up to 170, then start working on getting more power

Tried searching but ether my searching skills are not up to scratch or the info is dig deep away but i cant seem to find the answers haha

Any help on what stages to take to get more power our of the little S would be appreciated!

What are first generation, second generation, R53, R56 etc?

So main difference was the pully's for that little boost in power.

Now... to find out what to do to take it further :-p
