| Hi ya You only really need get it remapped if you start to put big injectors, big head, cams and some heavy engine mods in. Admittedly you will gain from a remap but it's not required if you put a de cat on. The DME is self learning so reset the DME make shore you have all the sensors in the exhaust you should be ok. I have been told exhaust wise 4 into 2 into 1 is the best route you get a slighly better torque curve. I would speak to someone like GT tuning, 1320 mini just to be shore but I think that's right Hope this helps |

| Thanks for that mate ![]() How do i reset the DME? Its not the ECU right? because if it is, the car has already been mapped, so don't want to lose the map ![]() Don't suppose you know the best method of fitting the system is? The new mod has already been ordered, its consists of everything from the exhaust manifold to replacing the cat. I had a peek underneath the car today.... lets say it looks almost too tight to fit without taking the whole front end off again |

Hi ya DME is the ECU same thing different name :-) DME reset normaly is done buy disconnecting the battery and leaving for a bit I always disconnect it and hold the poss and neg on battery terminals together then leave it for a little while then when you reconnect the DME starts to learn again all the new patterns and info. Give the guys a call who done the remap see if it would loose the map, its always handy to know if the battery goes flat. It's not to bad to swap out manifold get it up in the air on some axel stands remove the heat shields in the engine bay then undo the manifold bolts and the lower heat shield and remove the manifold from underside Get you self some plus gas give all the Nuts and bolts a spray the day before you do it and again just before you start. Oxygen sensors are the worst bit to get out of the down pipes they Ether come out easy of don't at all don't touch them with your figures, I think the grease from your fingers will damage them. Make shore they go back in the same places and connect to the right plugs When I changed my exhaust I had to cut off the nuts from the exhaust to the cat But it was not a problem. Anyway good luck post some pictures :-) |

| Yip will do ![]() Yh I'm hoping the map stays if I got a flat, i'm pretty sure it should (otherwise thats a major f### up by them ) I was having a look at the heat shields and the one by the manifold almost looks as though its riveted to the car...? could be a mission :/ I didn't know that about the O2 sensor, thanks for the heads up |
