New Remote key is usually about £120 + £50 to program (0.5 hour labour) + VAT, I guess your car is going to need a spare non-remote key and extra work to cancel the old keys from working......and maybe new mechanical lock parts for a new key blade? Probably about the right price unless others have found a cheaper way but doubt anyone outside Main Dealer network can get involved for security reasons.

Depending exactly what they're doing, that seems about right. £250 for a new remote key, spare non-remote key and necessary coding is what others have paid recently I'm afraid!

Surely the car will need new lock barrels, as they can only stop the old remote key from disarming the alarm... they can't stop the physical key working in the lock? I guess they wouldn't be able to steal it, but they'd still be able to get into it. Depends how far you want to go I suppose, but I dread to think how much MINI would charge for something like that.
