Strut brace for mini one

Hi guys ,

I am looking into getting a strut brace for my mini.....

Are these easy to fit? or is this a garage job?

Also i take it OMP is a good brand to go for?

Thanks for any help

Is it just a case of undoing the bolts, fitting the bar and bolting it up again? And is it the same for the top and bottom strut brace?

Some of them get in the way of the battery box lid on the One and Cooper (battery is in the boot of Mini Cooper S). The top strut nuts should only be done up to the correct torque and not overtightened.

I fitted the GTT strut brace to my 2004 Cooper.
I cut a slot into the battery cover as i didn't want the battery
showing.
Fitting, other than cutting a slot into the battery cover,
was a piece of cake.....6 nuts!
Looks totally AWESOME and my car is better in the corners!

I was thinking of doing this very same thing , I looked at lohen and by the looks of the picture it fits over the battery cover.....

I suppose I should invest in a torque wrench

The OMP one does fit over the battery cover.
However, i think it's sooo ugly, sorry!
The GTT strutbrace is a work of art.

Very nice but for me way over the top on cost , my other half would kill me spending that kind of money to then say she will corner better
