Has anyone skimmed a R50 head to raise the CR?

Just wondering if old school head skimming to raise the comprssion ratio works on a R50? I've the R53 chaps do it.

I know the S guys skim the heads to get a little bit more CR and they run a forced induction engine. I would figure 11:1 would not be enought to blow a head gasket. I was looking to go from 10.5:1 to 11:1 as any higher would give me problems with the fuel thay have here.

The MiniTorque forum may have some knowledge of skimming heads, they have tried most performance mods on the R50 and R53:
