ok so my clutch is slipping pretty bad now. I have no perf. upgrades other then MSD coil pack and 1 step cooler plugs (15% red pulley on its way) i need a clutch thats going to last for a while and deal well with harsh driving such as auto-x when i start in the summer. I was looking at a 6 puck or maybe even just go balls out overkill and get a stage 5 or something stupid any suggustions are appreciated.
car: 2003 mini cooper S (6 speed)
clutch: open to suggustions
is it the clutch your changing or clutch and flywheel assy
it really depends on budget there are a lot of good options out there, and also depends on what the future hold for your mini.
if you have a good budget and are going to want more performance have a look at these links. also while your gear box is out put in a limited slip diff well worth it
thanks a ton im looking in the 400 or so range for just a clutch the flywheel is ok and i have read the stock flywheel is a nice balance of high and low end torque if i go heavy its more high end but harder to get rolling if i go light its fast revs but no push behind it. any recomendations for a brand on the LSD or is it pretty much a part that is globally good?
oh and as for where im going with it. im aiming at a street mod class auto cross mini in the same class as an SVT cobra, ERX subi and a 05 mustang GT so i need to beef er up a bit.
