Minor Performance mods?

Got the car coming soon due to the high cost of insurance i cant go too far with engine mods,so im putting the exhaust and induction kit on but i need to know if theres anything else which will give me BHP , I dont car how little it is, even 1-3 hp! ,a chip is out of the question tho and i canbt really mess with the charger!

Any help would be MUCH appreciated!

Thanks in advance

Helix MINISport will have their pulley out soon. Sorry I don't know the price.

Paul,

With your limits, I'd go with magna-flow exhaust, rogue intake and the airbox modification mentioned here.

E-mail Randy (who did the write-up on the mod)--he's tested quite a few combos.

You could try taping over the four holes under the front of the bonnet. Supposedly this has made measurable BHP.

Motor on, Dudes and Dudettes!!!

A chip upgrade is cheaper than exhaust and intake upgrades combined and should give better results.

If you really want to be stealthy then do the chip with a K&N drop in filter replacement ($40 ish).

Paul,
Check out this place, they do Superchips.

No, I dont work for them. I'm thinking about doing the chip update but not right away. Their price, at $300 is pretty resonable, I've seen some places charging $400 or more (not Superchips).

Drakken - Good idea using the K&N replacement filter along with the chip upgrade.
