Cost and location for a new exhaust?

I have a 2004 MINI Cooper S and have been told that the catalytic converter on my exhaust is cracked and that the brackets holding the exhaust on have come off.

Kwik Fit have quoted me 700 for a new exhaust. Is that a reasonable price, or is there a better option? Should I go for a standard exhaust, or another one?

I live in Milton Keynes - any recommendations for garages there?

Thanks.

No such thing as a reasonable price in Kwik fit, check euro car parts online for a parts comparison, and use a standard system unless you are looking to modify the car in other areas enginewise. Find a Mini friendly indy garage.

If you go into a shop like that, only selling exhausts and tyres, what do you think you'll come out with?
