A little fun tech trivia

Here's a little fun tech trivia to keep your Friday interesting. If these are too easy, I'll come back with some real snookers.

1. What's the internal diameter of the throttle body on the MCS?

2. What's unique about the manufacture of the big end bearings of the MCS con rods?

Talking How about a few less "snookie"??

I was ready for "four" - number of tires and "one" the number of adult passengers that can accompany me in the MINI...
Your stuff is really tough!
I would guess:
63mm
and
They are tapered?

I have no idea, just trying to play along, perhaps I will learn something!

Yup, and close

JLM got it. The con rods are broken at the big end bearing creating a perfect mating surface. The MSC is made of forged steel, and is machined with a notch in the bearing that mates to the crank shaft. They then put a lateral load on the notch and the con rod snaps the bearing in half (or almost exactly half). When the con rod is clamped around the bearing, there is a perfect mating surface between the cap and the con rod. This produces a more precise mating surface than the conventional cutting of the con rod. Now that's pretty cool stuff.

The throttle body is 57mm in diameter.

The adult passenger capacity is relative to how many clown costumes are being worn by the adults. BTW, I've had six not-so-comfortable adults in my MINI.
