| For what it's worth, the press text posted on the JCW website today says: "The tuning kit will be available from all authorised MINI dealers worldwide from April 2nd and pricing will be confirmed after the launch in Geneva on March 4th." -Ricardo  "2 minutes by yourself and...you feel shame, you know...and then you get free" |

| I've posted elsewhere (and maybe even here, there's so many John Cooper Works threads flying around I've lost count!) that I have been told by the MINI communications manager direct that I will know as soon as prices and dates are officially confirmed, and I will of course post them on here. | USA Availability of JCW kit Last night on "Autoweek" (a program on the "Speed" channel), they said that the US availability would be after the Geneva auto show, later this month; and that it would be sold both as an upgrade kit, and as an option for new car delivery. Full factory warranty would cover both. It sounded as though we would be able to start ordering the option here in the states either in March, or early April. The upgrades were to be available thru "selected" dealerships. No word on the price (although they did mention 200 hp). My order is up in about 2-3 months. Hopefully I can check the "JCW" box by that time! Who said the Golden Age of automobiles was the '60's? ...David-MCS |
