My 2003 Mini had 568 miles on it when new, today it has 198k. Up until last year I have been one of those very lucky and fortunate Happy Happy Mini owners, Up until last year,, water pump, both fuel pumps, alternator, now power steering pump, the pump had burned up/ smoked the electronics, Now here's what I'm asking;
1. At the connector with 3 wires going to the pump, 1-GRN/WHT, 2-Yellow, 3-VIO/WHT,
2. Wire 3 VIO/WHT should there be 12v there at all times and when battery is disconnected it go's away.
3. They call it a "K" line from the ECU pin 36.
SHOULD IT BE HOT AT ALL TIMES???
