| Silly question - ****el possibility
As the world's consummate moron, I would like to open by saying I have no idea what I知 talking about. With that out of the way, is it possible that a few years down the line, when my warranty is long gone and I知 looking for something fun to do with my MINI that I would be able to just transplant a new Renesis engine (from the RX-8) and transmission straight into the Mini? It was designed for a rear-wheel drive and I知 sure it is a bit different in many ways, but it does of external dimensions that make this physically a possibility. I知 also guessing that it would be the most reliable way that I could possibly get my standard MINI Cooper up to 200 hp and it would probably be comparable to the c. $5500 for an intercooled turbo (MiniMania.)
I'd love to hear the complications, impossiblities or reality checks that I am totally overlooking. At this point, this wouldn't even qualify as a pipe dream...in 5 years... |
