Guages on A-Pillar

Has anyone seen a guage cluster that can be fitted to the A-pillar? Would this be a problem with the SRS? Does anyone know how this works? Thanks.

I just wasn't sure if the whole thing flew off in the event of side curtain deployment or what. I guess it's a no-go.

I have no idea either. Its probably not a good idea to add anything to it though. Better safe than sorry?

How bad could it be? So you get a boost guage in the head? At least then when your really mad everyone will know because you'll be reading 20psi! HahAhahaha....

Apparently you haven't heard about the new 'no door' option then?

I'd be a bit embarresed with pillar mounted guages in a MINI. I think you should leave that ricey stuff for Nissans and WRX's.

Just a thought

You cracked me up!

My MCS is an every day commuter, so I'm walkin' that practicality and leagal line as closely as I can

I do read the racing forum here to get some creative ideas to shed weight though. I just learned that our front seats (from a guy on that forum) weigh about 50 lbs each. I am contemplating some Cobra Sidewinders at 29 lbs. I guess I would lose the corresponding air bag though That 42 lb weight savings comes with some serious considerations...

I will look at the other air bag deployments and do further research b4 making the decision...

Well, back to the support/packing for my SLA battery
