Question I have a question.

I was showing my friend my Mini when his older brother came out and started looking at it too. We went for a quick ride, and then I was showing him the mods. When I told him about my Mini Madness Intake, he started saying that the supercharger is the intake and that the Mini Madness Intake doesn't do anything. He made it seem like it was a waste to buy the intake because the supercharger is the intake... does this make sense to anyone? I didn't really listen to him, because I don't think multiple companies would design a air intake/filter if it doesn't do anything!?

Can anyone help?

While the supercharger does sit between the engine and the outside environment, it still needs to take in air from somewhere and that would be via the intake. Your brother is either pulling your leg or needs to be set straight.

Because its factory installed and factory serviced and there is no way that BMW is going stock filter service kits at the dealerships and hose out your filters, wait hours for them to dry and then reoil them, yada yada yada.

Any comment anyone?

This has been gone over a lot in other threads, I don't think that's the only real reason not to touch it...
