I have the Brembo Gran Turismo front brake kit on mine. They're absolutely awesome, very 'friendly' brakes for normal day-to-day drives (my girlfriend didn't even notice untill see checked our bank account ) Quality of the Brembo's really shows when your pushing your car hard either on a nice B-road or on track. Did over 125 km's on the Nurburgring and couldn't notice any fading of the brakes. Cons......well maybe the price, but to me they're worth any penny. Also the callipers won't fit the standard S-spoke so it cost me another set of wheels too

Supercharged, I suggest you give this guy a call, Dave Zeckhausen @ (973)761-5054. He's in north jersey and will do the install too. I met him at the Rogue Engineering meet and he is an insanely knowledgable guy when it comes to brakes. I know nothing ![]() Heres his website. http://www.zeckhausen.com/mini_products.htm -- Cheese

follow mac's suggestion. The Kits are great but depend on the type of driving you do. For the avg back and forth to work driver it really doesnt make a difference. But since you do a little drag racing and have the extra power. Not only does it look better but some of the big brake kits are lighter than the stockers. which help with et's. Im still waiting until july when i get my shift change so i can join you guys up at E-town. 02 MCS DS/W (Totaled November 02 on Fall Folage Run) 03 MCS DS/W (See my MINI Profie for extensive list of mods)

Big brakes are on my list for next summer. I was going to just upgrade the disks and pads but have decided to take the giant leap of the biggest building in the land and spend more money on my brakes than any other upgrade. Damn, my wife is going to kill me when I finally get them. I'm trying to make sense out of all the different kits. Stoptech, Brembo ($$$$), Tarox, just to name a few. Brembo are nice and I like the history etc of the brand but $2600us for brakes is NUTS! So it's down to StopTech and Tarox. We'll see, hopefully by next summer there will be another kit available. But first I have to finish this summers projects. ![]() Paul
