Who else is buying JCW kit here in USA?

I am kind of new to this site so bear with me if you have already gone over this, but is there any one out there who actually has a JCW kit yet? I ordered one, and am going to receive my car next week. I am getting the distinct impression that the kits don't exist yet, or that they are going to highly favored customers.

They do exist, they have been installed on several customer's cars in the UK. I don't know of any customer cars done in the US yet, though. Dealers are supposed to be getting their first load of kits sometime right about now...

I managed to get mine quite a few months ago, not due to being an existing customer, just down to the fact I ordered the car and paid a deposit in August 2001

I know the kits are now starting to work they way to other countries.

Rest assured it is deffinetly worth the wait

As of this AM, my dealer says they still don't know when they are getting their kits. Whatever happened to "on sale April 2 at MINI dealers worldwide"? Two months later and "worldwide" still only seems to refer to the UK...

I must admit that the thought of more power from the Works S is a small part of my decision to get the kit. If they really only got 1.5 hp out of the ECU and didn't add an induction kit, etc. then they should have some room to play with.



Oh and Mike Cooper might be smiling it up but then so am I (even if my bank account isn't).

I have one of the first MCS' sold at MINI of Nashville, and am first on their list (or so I was told) for the JCW kit. No word from them on when but I am guessing it will either be very very soon or not very very soon.

If I've learned anything about waiting for my MINI it's to take the date they give you and add at least a month to it.... if it comes on time that's just icing on the cake.

Just spent a week in San Francisco, CA driving a rented Chrysler Sebring convertible - a gorgeous car, and a dream to drive with the top down, but a pig with the top up. The suspension and steering was so loose as to scare me many times, and with the top up the view of the outside is horrible. I just got the keys to my S back a few moments ago, can't wait to go for a drive in it....
