United-States PHOENIX group Pully Install in October/November

WE are planning a group Pully install for the month of October or november in Phoenix. Randy has agreed to come down and help us out.
The price is $400, out the door. That is for the pully and installation. This is a great deal! Don't miss out.
We need 10 owners to make it happen. Currently, the list is at 5. Let me knoe if you are interested.

I tried to email you this -- but your email bounces. Here's my message:

What's your plans? You didn't mention which pulley (Alta, MiniMania, MaxRev, etc)? Who is 'WE'?

I may be interested, depending on which pulley, and who Randy is. From what I've read, looks like the Alta pulley is the best.

I work in Phoenix (22nd St./Highland -- right by Camelback) and live in East Mesa.

PHOENIX group Pully install filling up.

Our group pully install in Phoenix is filling up with excited MINI owners. I have had some questions about the pully, installation, Randy, etc. You can find out everything at the following web site:
http://www.mini-motorsport.com/index.php

Read about them, and the pully.

We need a minimum of 10 MINI owners. We might be up to 7 right now. I am sure we can handle more than 10, but it is best to be in the first 10.

In addition to the pully insatll, me might be able to do some lowered springs, throttle body, & Magnaflow exhaust installs for those who want even more power.

Remember, this is only $400. That is cheaper than Labor alone if you had a local shop attempt to do it.
Email me with any questions or if you want to be added to the list.

Thanks, Brandon

I just bought my new pulley from the mini north scottsdale dealership-- $240 for the pulley plus $250 for the install. Sorry-- hadn't heard from you and assumed it 'fizzled'.

That's interesting Scott, which pulley? Does the dealer offer a warranty or mention warranty issues?

The dealer didn't mention which pulley-- but did say that the pulley they use does not require the removal of the supercharger or a press. Because of that, the install is much cheaper. They also said they've done several. They will still honour the warranty. They are also installing Sparco Tourino 2 seats for me in 2-weeks. I feel better about the dealer doing it if anything goes wrong during the install, since (hopefully) they are much better equipped to handle it. On my last turbo car I'd do anything-- becuase I had another daily driver... but the Mini is my only car right now, and I need it to work-- so there is a limit on my modifications.

I'll have gone from stock to seats+intake+pulley+strut bar+subwoofer! Pretty awesome.

Thanks for the info Scott. No press? hmmm...could it be the JCW pulley I wonder?! Guess a call to MNS is in order.
Sounds like you've got a great car! How do you like the pulley?

Sorry about the slow replies.
Im happy that you are satisfied with your pully.
What kind of sub system did you build?
Did you do it yourself?

If anyone else is interested in the pully....MIKE......
they can email me at my office at: brandon@gorepro.com
Thanks

I'd like to buy from Randy (purchased my intake and exhaust from him), but the idea of maintaining my warranty & maybe getting the pulley earlier than fall is tempting also. Not decided what to do yet Brandon.

Meanwhile, found a description of the pulley type pros & cons here:

Sounds like the dealer is using the newer bolt-on taper bore design.

One thing for certain, Randy is going to be able to do this in his sleep by fall! And, it would be fun to do the group thing.

Yes it will be fun having all 10 of us there.
I wonder if anyone has had any problems since installation.
I have yet to hear from anyone who has.
By the fall, I think we are broken in enough to warrant the install without fear of a major problem.
I have you down as a probable. Nothing in ink yet.
BTW: Dominic and I are thinking of starting a North Phoenix MINI club. Wanna join? I can handle the graphics and logos, he can handle the website.
