Lightbulb Recommendations please.

I need the board to help me on two items.

I want to upgrade some bits of my car when it comes in 3 weeks, but I do not want to lose my TLC or warrenty. Therefore I will only replace items deemed "diminishible".

1. What is the best brake pad I could change to? I'll mainly be using the car on the road, so I'd like a road/race type pad that has more bite than the standard ones. Any ideas?

2. I would also like to get a better flowing air filter (not a air intake, just the filter). Therefore what can you recommend?

Any help would be greatly appriciated as I would like to order these parts very soon.

Cheers,

Chris.

I agree with max on the EBC green stuff pads.

I have a K&N panel filter as well. Seems to make a difference if only in sound.

All from Newminispares.com

One word of warning, if you change the pads change front and rears as if you change only fronts the balance of the standard braking is changed and the rear end tends to brake a little differently from the front meaning steering input is needed under braking to keep the rear in check.

Excellent. Cheers chaps!

I'll order those in today. Do you think if I give them to my dealer, they will fit them whilst my car is undergoing its JCW upgrade? Or is it something I'll have to do myself?

Cheers,

Chris.

I have the pipercross drop in and it improves sound and response. Also heard some rumblings about pipercross soon to be a supported bmw product.
