DIY Suggestions for After Market Performance Add Ons?

Hey all!

My Non-S Mini is a month old now, and after bumping around on the forums I have to ask... What are the best add on performance embellishing products for the standard Mini? Cost is NOT an issue, but blatant warranty voiding IS... And, what kind of power boost can one expect from said upgrades?

I'll start out: K&N Air filter? Cold air intake? New performance exhaust? Anything else? Any personal stories about how much better (or worse) your Mini performed with these or any other upgrades?

Remember, these are ONLY for the NON-S Minis. I'm in the US, but value input from our European Mini brethren (and sistren for that matter...). Post away, and thanks a bunch!!!

I have a list of aftermarket stuff I'm ordering for my Mini..chrome side vents with clear repeaters, the John Cooper signatures for the stripes, chrome door handle circles, stubby antenna, also the chrome ring around the vents on the hood...then I have to have the windows tinted and am still trying to make up a design for a sunroof cover..so many things you can do to make the Mini your special baby! Good luck!:-)

MINI is a way of life!

Thumbs up A Rear Sway

bar will greatly enhance the handling of your MINI. Simple to install, not overly expensive, and just a blast one you start MOTORING again. This will get rid of any understeer, changes the way the MIN handles, for the postive.

Get a Whalen Shift Knob, you will truely enjoy it.

I have both of these item, still getting used to the sway bar. It is fun learning again.

The final one, very inexpensive, it is a ferensal lense. This little lense just sticks to the inside of the windshield on the drivers side. It allows you to see the stop light out the front window without having to bend over the steering wheel and look up. Here is the web site. I love it.

Pipercross MINI Induction kit. Makes your car smoother, adds an incredibly deep grunt when accelerating hard, is cheap, and can be installed/taken out really easy.

Cheers.

'02 Mini Cooper, all black, half leather (black, of course), glass sun roof, SS+, 16" 5-spokes, chrome exterior, MTH 137bhp ECU remap, Pipercross MINI Induction Kit

What's the Whalen Shifter do?
