Shift Light?

Have any of you racers wired up a shift light?
You know the kind that turns on at redline.
That way you do not have look at tach.

Hey minihuni,

Sounds good in theory, but doesn't the shift light only come with a new tacho? Does this mean that we are to have another large gauge sitting atop our steering column or is it possible to just have the shift light?

Interesting concept, would really only come into play if your racing or out on track days.

Good to see another Filo with an MCS. Where are you located?

Mini huni, I don't have a shift light but installing one shouldn't be a problem.

Check out Autometer's shift lights out herre... http://www.autometer.com/hp/2003_cat...sories/83.html

You could also ask in the racing forum, I know some members there have shift lights.

Paul,

Thanks for keeping the "ROOKIES" (me) straight.
I guess I got to look in the right place for answers.

MINI HUNI

I noticed Paul put up some great links to your topic.
Btw, I saw No Cal (but not USA) and thought where on earth is No Cal

Yeah, the following in Oz seems to be growing well. I'm fairly new to MINI2. The guys/gals here in Sydney are having a drive day this coming sunday. I unfortunately will not be there as I fly out for Hawaii that morning for some RR.

How's it in CA?

The Autometer device look real cool.
I really NEED a device like I requested.
It is REAL hard to keep an eye on the
tach to not grenade the motor, and keep
on the road at the same time. <>
CA is doing good.
Better next weekend, I will have had a
pulley installed. <BG>
I see more and more new Minis everyday.

Are you doing just the pulley on its own, or do you intend an ECU mod as well?

Yep,
