FMIC???

Maybe this has been covered before, but I can't remember a thread dedicated to this. As it is pretty much agreed upon that the top mounted intercooler stinks (as heat rises). Does anyone know if a front mounted intercooler is in production. Is this even plausable with the tight constraints of the S engine bay?

Or is it just cheaper and more efficient to use a water cooled intercooler in the stock intercooler's place?

An FMIC can be done. Sorry I can't remember shich racing team had done it. Pics were posted here.
I think for ease of installation the water/air IC in the OEM location is best.

To add a bit to your thread. I brought this question up when Targa first posted his pics. What about using an additive like Redline or Water Wetter to the fluid surrounding the IC.
Every little bit helps. Any thoughts?

I think MiniMania had a "butt ugly" one on their Turbo

Battleship Grey Metallic/B/B MCS
with every option known to man/BMW
less CD changer and NO car problems.

Sounds like a good idea. Athough I've heard some negative comments regarding water wetter, though I won't go into detail about it b/c I have reason to beleive it's just stupid internet heresay. And I don't want to help the spread of that!
