Looking for an MCS header

I am trying to find an MCS header that will bolt
to stock exhaust, and is NOT "for offroad use only".
Also be California smog legal.

I know MiniMania has a header but it is "for offroad use
only". London Stainless also has one, and it's $1300. They
don't say its use. There is mention of BMP on this site,
but I could not find anything in BMP web site.

Help

Battleship Grey Metallic/B/B MCS
with every option known to man/BMW
less CD changer and NO car problems.

BMP sells MINI products under the name PROMINI. They sell Supersprint exhausts:

you're not going to find one. All the headers remove the precats which are required for emmissions.

SMG has a Supersprint header with stock cat fitted. is this still illegal? Seems to have impressive performance gains with it: http://www.mini2.com///forum/showthr...ghlight=header

I think they're all technically illegal becaue the companies dont bother to get them certified...which costs a fortune. That doesn't mean they wont pass the most stringent of emissions tests, though.

Whatever.

Nope, none are legal. They eliminate the precats which are there to help light off the main cat (which doesnt get eliminated).

no header on a obd 2 car is legal but if you get a header with a cat it will pass emisions but probably won't pass the visual test no matter you don't have to smog your car for the next 5 years. If you are intrested i have a supersprit header with the factory cat so it would be direct replacement no cutting or welding and you could put it back to stock whenever you wanted. I paid about $700 for the headers and if you have ever priced the factory cat it's about $1200. I'm sellig it both for $700.

Ah ok QQQ, thanks

I'm going for Hartge header and 100cell cats eventually, expensive but i'm hoping it'll be worth it!

If you don't mind me asking Nic, how much is it? I'm also looking for a header/cat combo, still in doubt between Supersprint, Pegasus and London Stainless, Hartge might also be an option

Just under a £1000 + fitting so say £1200 on the car as a guestimate at today's prices. I'm of the belief that the manifold will be more tuned towards the 210hp conversion than another system, back box's are irrelevant IMO but manifold's are were gains can be found.
