DIY Blown engine after tuning, anyone?

I've done a search on this to no avail.

Has anyone blown an MCS engine after fitting a smaller supercharger pulley (and admitted it...) ?

Thanks for any info.

I tried really hard this past week and thought I'd done it after installing a new throttle body. But unhooking the battery and putting the stock version back on fixed everything! Will have to try again!

I've been running a 61mm TB (homemade) for about 3k miles without a problem. What was up with yours?

john,

what is going on in your secret lab lately. How is your engine coming along. I lost your # when my phone died. if you want pm me your # again.I need to meet up with you to get a throttle body. i can take mine off and give it to you for a core when i get the other one. How does the car feel with the new throttle body.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Looks like the way to go then, as I'm tired of waiting for the local homologation of the JCW kit (approx. CHF 7'000). A pulley and re-map from a reliable local tuner with dyno before and after costs CHF 2'500.

BTW, what is a throttle body????
