Tuning the S

I know this question must have been posted on this firum many times however, I've searched for it and cannot find it!
My brother has a Cooper S and is interested in getting it up to arround about 190 - 200 bhp but doesn't want a full conversion. What sort of mods would you guys recommend? He is only interested in engine mods and doesn't really want to change the exhaust unless the after market modded ones look almost identical to the standard one?

Hi and welcome, you are asking a very general question, did you or your brother read the November issue of Evo, they had an excellent test of 7 cooper s conversions, failing that, how much can he spend etc.

As a minimum he will have to install a new pulley and remap the ecu, AMD would be about the cheapest, but, try Hartge (Birds) and BBR.

I would suggest using the search and trawling through the posts.
