Cooper S - which is the best aftermarket air filter

I was thinking, that with all the different air filters available - which is best? I know I've only just taken delivery of the cooper but I can dream....

Tough question, the ones I've narrowed it down to are BMC,JR or K & N,the BMC is apparantley used by Ferrari, not sure if thats a good or a bad recommendation ! JR tend to be used by Japanese
Rally/sports cars and K & N are everywhere.

Im initially tempted by the BMC,mainly cause Id never heard of them before and Ive had K & N on other cars,

The other thing you shoukd then consider is Intakes systems !

Are you talking only about air filters or complete cold air intakes?

many people have dynoed all of the above intakes, and everyone seems to get the most power and sound out of the alta.....

if you want a quality CAI that makes more power than everything else people mentioned here, go with that.

http://www.altaminiperformance.com/p...ke/INTAKE.html

to purchase from a reputable dealer:
http://www.webbmotorsports.com/intake-mcs.php

that last page posts dyno information as well as a review in the forums of Webb Motorsports.

good luck!
