Your O2 sensor is in the exhaust system just by the catalytic convertor.

To be honest. I don't think what you're about to do sounds like a good thing. I can think of a couple of cheap "performance mods" that give "Xhp for only $5" that basically cheat your sensors and just make the car run rich.
What you're asking about sounds a lot like that.
Am I right or wrong?

Two O2 sensors one at top of manifold - difficult to get to and one after the cat both become VERY tight after a few thousand miles

With it sounding as though this thing came with no instructions or diagrams of where to plug it in, it must be one of those $5.00 Ebay wonders. Save your time and put it in the glove box. You'll no dought get as much power increase with it there and it won't have a chance to hurt anything.

White Cooper Thanks. That is exactly what I got

Yeah I got a mod chip that is supposed to give up to 22hp. I got instructions but really no diagram. It was 49$ so I dont know? Just reading it now it says to put it at the air intake plug (IAT sensor intake Air Temperature sensor) on the Blk IAT signal wire and RED wire:......................(/___________blk { ZG } ___________blk \
..............(IAT PLUG....................... { MOD }.......................... TO ECU)
............................(\___________red { ULE } ___________red /

This is pretty much what it says. I thought I would give it a try but do You know howe to get more horse without doing to much. got a 04 mini cooper non S I put an air intake on it and it sure has a little more pep now but I would like to try and get more that is why I got this mod chip. Does this diagram make any sense . They said it would be the O2 sensor if not the IAT sensor I guess they are the same. Do you have a pic of the sensor on the manifold??? well, hope to here from you
