England How do you get that spluttering and popping noise

Anyone tell me how they get that popping noise from the car when you let go of the accelerator.

I can hear it ever so faintly on my S but i have heard some that make a right noise

Is it just an induction noise or has the engine had some heavy hand work??

Drive lots, warm up the engine nicely, rev and let go. Pop pop pop (and so on).

Fit a nice exhaust, and you get that noise amplified.

It's a nice noise.

Listen/watch the standard V play mini. No other mods at that time on those cars.

Yes you can hear it on a standard car. It's a little harder to provoke, but that almost makes it more pleasurable/rewarding.

The induction kit wont make the popping improve really, but it will improve the whining from the front!

if your coughing spluttering and popping I suggest 2 paracetamol - agree with Mr Mullet - the noise purely comes from the exhaust and just like the supercharger whine its an addictive noise which enhancing with an improved exhaust will put an even bigger smile on your face

Those Rims are HOT!!!!!! A+++++
And mine are 18"'s, Funny you should ask about lowering it, Just got my Eibach springs & H-Sport control arms. I should have them on in a week or so. Now all I need is an H-Sport rear sway bar, but its only offered in BLACK, I would love to find a BLUE one if possible,(old Stock) If not I'll get the BLACK, it's the lightest one(5lbs.), and the only tubular one one the aftermarket that I know of. I'll post PICs of Before & After the suspension MODS.
By the way, hows your SPLUTTERING, POPPING thing going?
