exhaust tips.....

can i change my exhaust tips even without changing my whole exhaust system??? i would like to retain my stock muffler...

easily - think there's a FAQ on here - basically, drop the current one's back pipe down, cut off the end xinches, fit the new tip, put zorst back up, just need a hacksaw, jack(s)

The OEM S tips are just held on by set screws. 7/64th and 1/8th were too smal and too big in that order. So it's like 7mm.
I took a quick pic. Pipes are 1 7/8ths at that point.

tnx! can fter removing the OEM tips, can i cut the end and then weld the new larger tip?? will it be ok?? tnx

I've never taken them off but considering clearance you could go any bigger than what's there. It does look like you have about 6" and 4" of straight pipe to work with. Should be plenty for attaching. Where I think you'll have a problem is that most nice tips are at least 10" long. This will stick pretty far out the back.
