At 17%, you may want to get a belt to suit. I would also consider the Alta Intercooler Air Diverter with mister.

If you havn't put an aftermarket intake in, I would also do this. Next would be an exhaust system.

No, it's not a must, but it's probably the biggest HP gainer after the pulley. They are louder though, i.e. the Alta, but there are some that are not as loud. A 17% pulley without an air intake might be working at odds. Maybe you should just stick with the 15%?

Anyway, any intake mods you can do will certainly help

biggest gains you will see will be from a pulley and ECU remap..

as for intakes... ive got an alta.. cant really notice any actual gains.. the sound is loud.. especially when you give it some. the standard filter is pretty crap, its just a paper filter.

if i were you, and i did it all over again.. id just get a replacement air filter..
good luck

If you want to stick with stock or close to it, I'd say the Dinan is a pretty good option too.

I was considering the Dinan intake too, but I was curious, anyone know if it gets loud? I like to rev 6k+ on on-ramps and such, and love that the car pulls without being obnoxiously loud.

I believe the JCW Air Filter will be a standalone option for the MCS and MCSC. It seems to suggest that on the new JCW section on the MINI International website, and I think my dealer mentioned it to me about a month ago. Not sure about how much it will cost...

Download the "on the track" movie to see and here the new kit in action.
