Rasp, I know the details now so I might just turn up, would be awesome to have a go in Leccys car and know what im letting myself in for! the only problemo is that I might or might not get bladdered on Sat night in which case ill be unfit to drive but if not then im there!

2, 3 or 4am in the morning - thats a bit past my bed time No, I don't think that would have been me.

Saw a grey+white MCS pulling out of a house on Manor Road last night about 8.30pm though heading towards the petrol station on the corner.

Maybe I'll see ya Sunday

Nice one mate You won't regret it. Are you going to get anything else done - such as a cam or larger TB?

225bhp NICE!!!!

The 210bhp conversion feels fast - so 225bhp must feels subsonic. I must admit that I am getting a bit used to the power now though. Now where did i leave my credit card

I would love to get the cam put on mine - maybe next year.

Have you had the conversion done yet? If so what do you think?

315bhp

Can you even get that power down onto the tarmac?

I know there are quite a few UK tuners hitting the 280bhp mark without nitrous etc. Whats the spec on this car?

Cheers, LB.

Oh, by the way....4/5 months on and I'm still really happy with my conversion, although I've definatly got used to the power now. I've had a scorpion exhaust fitted since then and I'm also about to get some upgraded brakes fitted too.

I've had no sign of stumbles/side effects either. I've been driving my car pretty hard since the conversion and the engine feels like its loosended up, I wouldn't be suprised if the car now dyno'd with a few more bhp as Ray originally said it would.

Next on my list would will probably be a cam, manifold, Larger intercooler and possibly larger TB which should hopefully see me achieve the 235/240 bhp mark

215bhp just isn't enough power in an MCS thesedays

LB.

Why not come to the Rolling Road day at Milway in Andover on
12th March. Its only £25. Get Ray to bring his Demo car aswell if you can, I believe he's only on the next industrial estate. In fact any of the other tuners are welcome too ,as long as they go on the rollers. Now that that would get a crowd.! One of the nice things about Milway is they really are independant, and are not a Mini tuner. (I have only known about them for 6 months.)

I have a limited slip but the key is NOT to put it to the floor until you got it moving down the road. Just takes a little more technique. There is one problem to fix on our way through 300 wheel HP. Then we take off the supercharger and just go turbo on the way to 400whp

What are you going to do to the tranny etc?.. Apart from the obvious things like toughening up the bottom end, rods etc on the block to achieve 400bhp, AMD had a 400bhp+ mini but had problems....

Hi Roland,

I would have loved to but I'm away that weekend shame, I really want to see what my car is running at the moment bargain price too!

I can't speak for Ray though, why not drop him and some other tuners an e-mail?, that would make a really good magazine article!

Cheers, Mark

I plan on running the stock tranny until it blows. I have already put in custom pistons which were the first weak link. Rods are on order. Btw... do you have a link to the AMD where it shows they made that kind of HP? Curious why everyone posts in bhp on this board when it really only matters what you get at the wheels? Thanks in advance

No... Amd have been running a 302bhp MCS now for some time by adding the Rotrex SC + the usual extras, this is the car on there website that states 270bhp...The 400bhp car was more an experiment to see what gave out first, it run for some time before streching the head bolts and blowing gasgets, transmission became noisy but most everything else survived...

Where is the vid of the twincharged on the track?
