Hi Guys ,there is a brand new GTT sports cat& manifold in production as we speak,

available from us (for a while) but the GTT manifold/ cat fits AFAIK with all systems .
Best Regards Roland Gt Tuning

Ok in brief we are going to offer 2 manifold/ cats. The first will based to compete with
the 'current crop ',and also a second higher spec item . This is the one I shall give some details of here;-
WELDS:- TIG Welded throughout. This is a much higher quality weld than MIG which is normally used. It is a smaller, neater weld with true penetration making it much stronger & less prone to cracking. It also takes alot more time to do.
PRIMARYS & FLANGE PLATE We use a 1.530" OD tube with 1.2mm wall, this is lighter
than more commonly used 1.5mm wall. The profile on the flange where it mates to the head, has been taken out to 1-1.5mm inside the gasket port profile all round, and are individually hand fettled/flowed. This blends exactly to the profile of our stage 2 CNC milled cylinder head exhaust ports, yet will step up in size, if used on stock size ports. This works very well as a type of 'anti reversal ratchet' anyway.
SECONDARY PIPE This is 2.5" dia with a 1.2mm wall,in preference to 2.25 " diameter
& 1.5mm wall;giving better flow capacity& lower weight.
CAT This is a brand new 120 cpsi design which flows much better ,(it has bigger holes in it)
yet does not suffer such a reduced life span of many sports cats, which can result
in lights on the dash and fault code P0420 for example.
REMOVABLE CAT The cat section will be flanged at each end to allow it to be quickly
detached without any removal or disturbance to either the manifold or the exhaust system.
Reasons for wanting to do this include:- to quickly fit a GTT de cat pipe in place of the Cat for trackdays. And perhaps more important to most,is to be able to easily and much more
cheaply, replace a worn out or broken Cat ,without requiring replacement of the entire manifold aswell.
Sports Cats on Minis can 'go' at around ,30K miles .
TBF there is no wonder cure for this hence the importance of this feature.
We can also offer optional mirror polish all over for show cars.
Best Regards Roland GT Tuning

I'm interested in the Exhaust re-route pipe. I don't have enough money at the min to allow the purchase of a new cat/mainfold/exhaust system, but this should make my exhaust sound a bit nicer (but will it increase performance?)

Definatly want more info

I can see it easily freeing up some necessary gee'gee's, would make it sound alot nicer too IMO.
