I will soon be setting up a small shop in my garage back home, but I am a little confused on what to get? What are some of the best jacks and stands? I mean I am wanting the best due to safety! Help me out and let me knwo what kind of things you all use in your garage!

I have the Rhino Ramp 8000s and they work great!

Also, I imagine any 2-3 ton jackstands will be sufficient!

SAMS Club has an awesome set of Goodyear branded jackstands. Of course if your other car is an Aston martin DB whatever, why not consider a proper lift? In the US they are delivered to your door for about 2500 USD. someday when I go back, IF I go back, I will make a bee line to the car lift store.....
Whatever you do, get a proper JACK......SEARS and SAMS Club sell nice 2-3 ton ones for about 200 USD.
