The JCW kit do not use drilled or grooved so it should make it harder for my dealer to notice
On a serious note Max I would check your front pads, Both my fronts on the inside had delaminated and the pad material had come away from the metal . Cause well your guess is as good as mine. Excess heat? bad pads?
The small down side is I am going to have to clean my wheels more often
The upside is I can stop bl"*"y quick

Was there a touring car in the workshop when you wer there? if so did you notice the brakes on it? Smooth disc's ok 330mm but the exact same set up as yours and they are put through the ringer on track so you should not need any more than what you have got...
Ray has tried all different types of combinations and says that this particular set up you have is the best for fast road with the occasional track day...cant wait for mine

No , the workshop was almost empty. Did notice Ray`s MINI parked outside it had the 330mm set up and the discs were smooth.
I quizzed Ray about the rears and his reply was standard OEM is more than adequate.
Thats all I use on the MINI.
Will probably put some new discs on the back with some new greens just to help with dust.
He also reckoned that there was no real advantage in putting braided on the rear.

He also says he is waiting for you to turn up for fitting

Good news RVW

Went to Silverstone today to see the first round of the Britcar series, the Beechdean m3 mini was there in all its glory, speaking to the guy in the pit garage and the car had only just been rebuilt 2 days ago and guess what? It looks like they had beaten Ray West to the brake combo he recommends, Brembo with AP Racing 330mm disc's I could not believe my eye's They wer using today as just a set up day, the handling was appalling and I think it came last overall, it did seem to be getting better to wards the end...one things for sure it did look the part on the track...have more pics if you want to see them....
