| 426 WHP MINI Dyno video! Saw this Dyno Run video elsewhere. Too good not to share. While the dyno run on the video hit 'only' 426 wheel horsepower a later run hit 430 whp! ...That's aproximately 500 bhp!!! |

| All motor power would mean NA. …No turbo or S/C. I think you just want the power without the use of N2O. The only way you’re looking at high hp all-motor MINI is a transplant - like M3 power. I'm not a big fan of N2O either, but the car did just this side of 350whp without the juice! …It did use cryo though, and from my own perspective - either way you go you've got to carry around a tank in the boot (or two - with both of these options installed). The only other option I'm aware of that'll allow the use of more boost (in the context of the OE supercharger + turbo) is alcohol/water injection. ...But this won't increase density of the charge like N2O... will just cool it. More boost = more heat & pressure. Not good for the head or other internals, + difficult to get a dense charge. At this point, aside from swapping out the supercharger for a BIG turbo or say a Lysholm (twin-screw) type I don't see us getting colder boost. Add a Twinscrew to a Twincharged set up and you might see numbers up near what SPI / Hubie got. ...But the custom work & $ to get it all in there would be prohibitive. Look at it this way… Hubie has found a way to triple the OE wheel horsepower for under 10K USD. …And is able to make use of most of the stock parts of the car. That's quite an achievement irrespective of the additional HP gained with 'juice'. |

| WHP (wheel horspower)! Not BHP (brake horspower - as measured at the crank). BHP is estimated to be 500 or so. Hubie did several other runs - topping out at 438 whp! Then he drove home. This last part is the true test |

| If this isn't your bag then cool, but don't assume it can't be drvien. Not everyone's skills are equal. Its all in how you use it. And you don't have to matt it everytime you get behind the wheel. For example this is what can be done without nitrous and a 'paltry' 345hp - with judicious application of the throttle. ...Seems to hook up just fine. When one considers that a Twincharged car doesn't gain significant weight the prospect of it being set up as a proper weekend track car comes to mind (not just for drag racing / grins on the motorway). Those cars which can't hang with us in the turns, but can blast by in the straights would have something new to think about with a MINI on their six when exiting a turn. | You're not kidding! Hubie claimed that he had to shift to 5th before the end of the run!!! Said he'd run larger diameter tires next time. Agree completely on the stock look too. What a sleeper that would be! Always have liked cars that look like nothing special, but have it ALL where it counts. |
