hi
was wondering if i can fit a supercharger to my cooper? its not a cooper s, but have been offered a supercharger for £50 and was considering it!!
any idea guys?

That is a cheap conversion.........., now consider the following:
1: You need all the associated cabling, piping and etc.
2. You will need to modify your intake system to work via the supercharger and then an intercooler to reduce the inlet tempreture.
3. Therefore you will need to at least buy an intercooler
4. You will need to divert the air to cool the supercharger
5. Therefore you need a Cooper S bonnet and etc
6. You will probably need to move the battery to the boot (route the cables and etc)
7. You will also need a new ecu that will controll the fuel and air mixture and ignition timing and etc.
8. And etc.
9. Oh yeah still etc.
So once you have all that then you can think about bolting the supercharger on. Thats why you just cant simply bolt it on......
I also expect Mr. BMW has built the car in such a way that you can't just do it to preserve the value of the Cooper S.
