Brochures arrived at the dealer's last Saturday. Some very nice photo's, first time I've seen a good picture of the recaro's with the red stitching. Nothing new info wise that we don't already know.
I have to admit to considering it myself. I can fix the few visual issues that I dont like, I'd love to see it pack 240bhp (just right I think) and I'd put my own wheels on it (something like this below) in order to retain the original wheels in mint for resale, I'd like to put a decent set of Brembos on it, and I'd fit the JCW airducts to the false brake ducts. I'd not be afraid to track the car, perhaps even fit a roll cage (although those recaro seats arn't suitable for harnesses - another cok-up in my opinion).
Trouble is we're back into £30k territory and it would only be replacing something I've already got, but just a little more refind.
I'm thinking that the GP will be a sound investment if the new car does not create any kind of stir.
Isn't there a difference between a Wing and a Spoiler?
The wing on an Exige actually produces up to 100 pounds of downforce vice none of the Elise allowing it to corner "faster".
The "spoiler" on Porsches that pop up at 75 MPH are true spoilers, meant to break up the air pattern so the rear end doesn't get light ... I do not believe they create any downforce.
has any one been on minid website and played about with the cooper s works with GP kit as it says its not on the .co.uk website you have to go .com then International its realy fun to play with
will pick up some Brochures on thursday at the reoperning of north ox dealer wonder if they will have one there hmmm
Generally speaking a spoiler is a body panel of whatever shape is determined to create the needed effect.
A wing is just that, and airfoil attached to the body through some means.
I'd like to have $5 for every "wing" I've seen that is obviously set up incorrectly.
