Tony , nice thought with the tuning of the GP although like you stated beforehand , your looking at £30,000 again! ahhh , we've been here before havent we!

Initial purchase price - £22,000 (at least!)
Brakes - £1,500
PSS9's - £1,500
Engine tuning package £2,500-5,000+ (depending on state of tune!)
Wheels + R888's £1,500

Total = £7,000-9,000!!

HMM , i can supercharge the M3 and have 500hp for £7,000

Saying all that , i could just leave it standard as its meant to be and use it , but why would i want to do that

Just spoke to my dealer about a maybe trading in my MCSC for a GP...

He offered me about £17,000 for my 05, but he did say that they've been told
that their allocation of Gp's will be arriving in July

What to do?

Moved to the Cooper S forum as it's no longer a future variant.

How time has flown.

Where's Alvin?

I'm seeing a GP sitting in my drive, though.

In the GP booklet it states the torque as 245Nm although it doesn't state at what Revs. However, this is the same as the Works Kit at 4500rpm.

Strange no?

I hope that doesn't mean the extra power mostly comes from an increased rev limit? Does it say where the max power is at?

I have just found some info on the back of the GP booklet.....Max Torque/revs 245NM/4500. So it is identical to the 210 JCW's kit. They go on about it having a few more bhp so I was expecting some difference. It looks like it'll only be down to weight.

What max power does it quote (BHP), and are they still using dislaimers? (Ie, subject to change)?

218bhp and yes the dislaimer is still there for the bhp. Not however for the Max torque, which makes you wonder if there is any difference in the bhp at all over the standard kit. I am starting to think it's the Market Department blowing some smoke.
