Sounded great until you got onto gritty roads - radio would not go loud enough!!

That's naughty. I've got that manual too but would get in hot water sharing it without BMW consent. Assuming it's the same thing it contains details for US market tyre pressures so is not euro specific.

I see its called a 'cargo bar' now..... well, at least that makes sense, rather than the 'brace' terminology that was flying around.

very surprised they haven't put in place a net system on the cargo bar to stop smaller objects flying under the seats.... like they have with the Audi TT sport - that has a 'cargo bar' arrangement with webbed netting slung underneath. This is the very first modification I would make.

People with orders in must be getting very excited now....

OK, I was out in the garden doing a little work, and I found a really great stick. Sooo, time to stir the pot in another direction.

How will they number 2000 GP MINIs if they drop out all the politically incorrect, heretical or superstitious numbers?

These are the ones that I see as never appearing on a roof. Agree, disagree, or just add the numbers that your area of the world would frown upon.

0001, 2000 may be used, but no mortal consumer will get them.

0007, 0013, 0069, 1313, 0666. 0003?

If they don't use these numbers, what two cars in what two country's will have duplicate numbers? Or will the numbers run higher than 2000?

Aflame with excitement? Nah, I have decided that I can tread water as long as they can make it rain!

I'd happily have the 0666 on my roof...

...just not the car

Had an idea to do something similar with a number on my roof, but hard to choose between 0001 (as only on eof mine ) or just 666

Just reading that manual. Odd that the tyre pressure is a lot higher than standard MINI?

Its also odd that it mentions that the locking wheel nuts don't come with cover caps

No-So-Much-Lighter?

To quote a concern listed in the comments to the GP Manual pdf post of Motoringfile:

"Excuse me for getting technical but the 2006 Cooper S specs list its weight at 2678 lbs. and the GP is listed in the manual at 2634 lbs. - a difference of 44 lbs."

Now, whatever the weight difference is, I am going to kill it when I install a stereo, anyway, but this a bit irksome....Wasn't the 80-100 lbs-shaving a big selling point? Given the specs revealed the GP would have only a little more bhp (specifically 7) and, by my mind, only a little less weight, (and that was when the figure was 80 lbs.) isn't this kinda a big deal? Next will it be revealed the horsepower increase is really only 4 bhp?

Chime in....

I think they're referring to the center caps for the wheel that is present on some of the MINI wheels like the R84 X-Lites. The pictures of the 18" 4 spoke GP wheels clearly show exposed wheel bolts. No big deal
