I smell a photo-chop job.

The side skirt on the right hand car is off--where's that sloping crease coming from?
The exhausts don't look right.
The inserts in the rear bumper don't look right
The height above ground on the rear bumpers is off--the bottom of the bumper looks to be too far off the ground. On both cars, by different amounts.
The color is far too blue--it looks more like a space blue than the thunder blue.
The proportions on the rear hatch are off---the rear bumpers are not that big in comparson to the rest of the car and the width of the cars seems pinched.!

Of course, this is all just my opinion.

Now Jim, it can't be wrong, remember the final specs have not been determined at this time. They promised buyers a surprise, the surprise is that the cars come with S-lites!

I sold my s-lites once, I can sell them again!

And btw--there's something wrong with the side mirror, too. It looks, i don't know, attenuated??? And the wrong color.

And I'm a little suspicious of the right hand drive car--look at the change in color in the windsheild/passenger window.

And why would they have placed the silver inserts in the rear bumper if the bumper hasn't been painted yet?

Of course, I could be wrong.

No but you'll be able to buy them straight from China on Ebay.

I actually bought a set of them for my wife's MCS. Liked them better than the X-Lites that came with it. Hers is pretty much "box stock"...as opposed to the other 2. It was pretty much a wash for the wheels, and then I put non-runflat Yoko's for a better ride.

It doesn't look right because it is fake. There's no way they have built all 2000 cars and they are just sitting in Munich. That makes no sense at all. Why would people not be getting them until September if they are done now? I would allow those are possibly some halfbreed/test mules maybe....but more likely they are just photochopped. I can't imagine those are cars to be delivered to customers. Would it make any sense to ship them around with S-lites? Black steelies, maybe, but not a set of wheels that are sold as an upgrade to stock ones on regular MCS (even if they do suck.) Started in Oxford, assembled in Italy, then shipped to Germany for window tinting, bumper painting, and the correct wheels? Come on....if it's a photochop job, it is a decent one but if they are real cars, there's no way those are for consumers and the others are all sitting similarly nearby.

05 WRX STi and 06 GSX-R600
MCS JCW GP on order.....

S lites are cheapish now adays, and would steel rims fit the jcw brakes? Thats could be why?

How about this for an idea? The two GP's in the photo are pre-production cars built by Bertone which have then been sent to Germany for BMW to check over for any quality issues.

Just a thought.

No its a photoshop job, look at the blurring around the front of the left hand car.
The sill is not right on the right hand car and the shadows are all wrong.
Also the cars appear to be too small in relation to the 5 series parked next door.
look at the difference between the rims for a start......

The computer system at the dealer shows week 32 for my build. No way all 2000 have been built mines half way through the run!!!

Sounds good to me. I'll put them straight on my Cooper to replace my kerbed S lites.

Got to disagree with it being a "photoshop".

If your going to photoshop something why stop at something as easy as the wheels.

They're pre-production cars.
