Looking forward to getting the US-Sidelights on a car, tried to buy them for an Italian Job Replica and the dealers would not sell them to me. Hope they do work on the UK cars, if its good enough for a Volvo its good enough for me.

i think the whole numbering system is random so just because you got a lower number than somebody does not mean you'll get your car before them

Sounds a bit unfair and a bit silly, surely it makes sense to make cars in ascending chassis numbers and it wudnt really reward those people who put their name down and commited early on for a GP. Surely those who are on list first should be given priority in getting the car!

The only pic I could quickly think of on my web site, that was taken in the dark:

You can see the front wheel arch is lit, and there's a hint of orange glow at the back

Not sure what the point is other than making the car more visable???

I know that in the States modification kits can be purchased for converting these side lights into indicators that flash together with your turn signals. .

They are to inform the driver of the vehicle that is about to T-Bone your car in a broadside collision, whether he (or she) is going to strike the driver's side or the passenger side (depending on whether the orange markers are on the left --which means they're head for our ( in the USA) driver's door---or the right---which means our passenger is about to have a big headache!

Doesn't the UK have the equivalent of NTHSA....National Transportation and Highway Safety Administration watching out for you?
